Strategic driver
A strategic driver is an annual priority, set in plain language with a measurable outcome, that work items link to so an executive can see whether their time is advancing strategy or drifting.
Strategy fails not because the plan is wrong but because the day drifts. Strategic drivers carry the annual plan into the weekly grid and the work item screen. Each driver is set once a year in plain language, and every work item links to the driver it supports or shows up as unaligned.
The weekly review then surfaces what percentage of the executive's time landed against each driver, so drift is visible early rather than at the quarter end.
